About the Artist: Rosa Nguyen
Born in London in 1960 to French-Vietnamese parents, Rosa Nguyen is a distinguished ceramic artist whose work seamlessly blends Eastern philosophies with contemporary art practices. She earned an MA in Ceramics from the Royal College of Art in 1986.
Her works are held in prestigious collections both nationally and internationally, such as the Crafts Council Collection in London, the Aberdeen Art Gallery, and the Wison Contemporary Art Museum in Shanghai.
Provenance
This piece originates from the esteemed collection of the late Oliver Watson (1949–2023), a renowned British studio pottery expert affiliated with the Victoria and Albert Museum. Watson's significant contributions to the field include curating the pottery segment of the 1985 Tate Britain exhibition "St. Ives 1936–64" and authoring the seminal work British Studio Ceramics: A Catalogue of the Collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in 1990.
