About the Artist: Mark Surridge RWA (b.1963)
Mark Surridge is a British abstract painter whose work explores memory, landscape and the act of mark-making. Born in 1963, he studied Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art and later completed a Master’s degree in Painting at Chelsea School of Art, London.
Surridge was elected an Associate Member of the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol and later became a full Royal Academician at RWA. He has exhibited widely in the UK and abroad, including:

Newlyn Art Gallery, Cornwall
Falmouth Art Gallery, Cornwall
Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum
