Hutt x Cotswold Wedding: Creating a Relaxed, Considered Setting
It was a pleasure to collaborate with the bride and groom on their Cotswold barn wedding, creating a relaxed and characterful setting that reflected their personal style and shared vision.
The couple wanted an atmosphere that felt natural, thoughtful and welcoming, while also being mindful of waste and the environmental impact of the event. The focus was on creating something beautiful through considered choices rather than unnecessary excess.
Styling Through Sourcing & Natural Details
Working alongside the couple, I created floral arrangements using a mix of dried and fresh flowers and foliage, bringing texture, movement and a natural quality to the space.
These were combined with a carefully sourced selection of one-off pieces from Hutt, including antique pewter, ceramics, wooden objects and other decorative elements chosen to complement the setting and the couple’s aesthetic.
The aim was to create a cohesive environment where every element felt intentional, while still maintaining a relaxed and informal feel.
Creating a Collected Atmosphere
I have always been drawn to spaces that feel layered and personal rather than overly styled. Combining natural materials, handmade pieces and objects with character creates a sense of warmth and individuality.
This project allowed me to apply the same principles I use when sourcing for interiors: considering how colour, texture and material work together to create an atmosphere and tell a story.
A Thoughtful Approach to Celebration
The finished setting reflected the couple’s wish for a celebration that felt personal, relaxed and connected to its surroundings.
It was a pleasure to help bring their vision to life through a combination of sourcing, styling and carefully considered details.
