£1,100.00

Original Artwork titled 'In The Harbour' by Bernard Myers (1925-2007) the celebrated British Artist.

Myers who trained at Central Saint Martins and Royal College of Art. His work is held in many public collections including Tate Modern, Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), The British Museum, The Saatchi Gallery, and The National Gallery.

This piece is a captivating artwork showing Myer’s skilled use of oil pastel as a medium. The colours employed are vibrant and lively with hues of pale blues, pinks, orange, reds and purple mingle together, creating a dynamic and harmonious composition. With Myers' distinctive style characterised by abstraction and expressionism, this piece conveys a sense of spontaneity and emotion. The artist's deliberate use of texture and form adds depth and dimension to the piece, further enhancing its visual impact. (Apologies for the reflections shown in the photos of the camera tripod and plinths.)

I have a small collection of original artworks by Bernard Myers available one of which is a darker blue piece that is the same size as this piece. You can read more about Bernard Myers in the feature on him here.

The piece is in excellent condition signed with the artist's initials and dated '74 in the lower right corner next to the title In The Harbour. I have had the piece float mounted and framed in a limed wooden frame set behind glass
