Early 1900s French Wooden Wine Press Column

The carved screw section would have originally been used to press grapes for wine or apples for cider. The metal base is a later addition allowing the press to be used as a column.

The piece is in wonderfully time worn condition from over a hundred years of wear and tear. It has historic worm holes which I have treated again just in case.
